ESTATE PLAN
In Estate Planning, this project involved constructing comprehensive estate plans for two real clients with distinct financial situations and family structures. The project challenged me to analyze balance sheets, design appropriate trust structures, and craft personalized recommendations covering wills, powers of attorney, and beneficiary designations. Beyond the technical work, it developed my ability to understand a client's values and legacy goals, and translate them into a thoughtful, legally sound plan.
RETIREMENT PLAN
In Retirement Planning, this project involved constructing a comprehensive retirement needs analysis for both myself and a real client. The project challenged me to apply financial planning concepts such as annuity modeling, NPV analysis, and scenario planning to real-world assumptions and goals. Beyond the technical skills, it developed my ability to translate a client's personal values and life vision into a concrete, actionable financial strategy.
SWOT ANALYSIS
In Business Management, I had the opportunity to perform a SWOT analysis for the company United Airlines. Through this project, my business partners and I were able to analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that United was facing. This allowed us to glean a fuller understanding of how businesses operate. In addition, it provided insight into different markets and helped me think like a businessman.
STATISTICS PROJECT
In Statistics, the capstone project was the collection, analysis, and presentation of statistics. This project challenged me to learn the process of data collection, as well as to interpret the data and form reasonable conclusions from it. The presentation itself aided in the development of public speaking and articulation skills.
